What is the home moving cost in Dallas?
The cost of moving a studio within Dallas area, is significantly different than moving a two-story house across state lines. While the first is charged by the hour and requires 2 movers, the other one has a fixed price and is much more complex due to distance and the size of the inventory. Have other questions about residential moves?
Do you charge more to move things up and down the stairs?
No, we don’t. Everything is included in the full price for your move. Whether you live in a multilevel house with lots of stairs, or a building without an elevator, our movers are prepared to deal with a variety of moving scenarios.
What can I do to prepare for a household move before the movers arrive?
Because everything is already included in our service there aren’t many things that you would have to do. First, you can unplug, defrost, and empty your freezer and fridge. We recommend to do it at least 24 hours before. Next, empty out all the appliances and furniture. Moving these larger items full can be quite dangerous and can result in things inside of them getting damaged as well!
Do you charge extra to move heavy items like beds, pianos, or safes?
Our residential moving service applies to the the entirety of your residence. This includes the heavy items as well. Of course, the number of these items can impact the price because more time or movers might be needed to transport them efficiently to your new location. How much in advance should I book my house move?
Usually it’s best to schedule your move a few weeks ahead. During the peak of the season, which is usually from May to September it’s better to book a month or two earlier.
How many movers are needed for a short-distance household move?
This depends on the complexity of the move. If you require a last-minute residential move, or if you have a lot of items that need to be disassembled or that require a more complex removal, than more movers might be needed to do the job.
